Kebbi Govt. Shutdown Two Private Higher Institutions

The Kebbi State Government has announced the indefinite suspension of academic activities of two private schools in the state.

In a statement by the state Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Abubakar Tunga, signed by the Director Higher Education, Aliyu Shehu jega, mentioned the two affected private schools as Lamido Umaru Mutube College of Advanced Studies and Health Sciences and Technology Dakingari and Saham College of Health Sciences and Technology, Zuru.

According to the statement, the suspension of their academic activities followed their failure to pay their annual dues of one hundred thousand naira each for the two consecutive years 2022 and 2023 respectively.

The amount incurred is two hundred thousand each for the two affected institutions.

The statement said if the two institutions paid the fee, the suspension will be lifted so as to continue with their academic activities.
