Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has established the Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to reinforce his commitment to combating corruption in government and private business establishments.
The Jigawa State House of Assembly, in a preliminary sitting, on Tuesday, received three nominees from the governor for confirmation, which were read on the floor of the house.
The Speaker, Haruna Aliyu Ɗangyatum, disclosed the names of the nominees as Barr. Salisu Abdu, Chairman; Musa Kallamu Uba Auyo; and Hassan Hashim, as permanent members.

Barr. Abdu is a graduate of Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, and served as the Acting Director of Public Prosecution in Jigawa State before joining the NCC in 2004, where he retired as a director in 2022. Musa Auyo graduated in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, and served as a lecturer in the institution before joining the NDIC, where he retired as a principal in 2019.
The nominees were noted for their high integrity and vast experience. After thorough screening, the House confirmed their nominations.

Speaking to the press after their screening, Chairman Barr. Salisu Abdu and Musa Kallamu Auyo noted that the task of fighting corruption is daunting but pledged to put in their best efforts to deliver. They promised not to fail the government and people of Jigawa and urged everyone to join hands with the commission to stem the menace of corruption in Jigawa State.
