Following the visit of renowned Islamic scholars under the auspices of the Coalition of Ulama and Islamic Organisations, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa has resumed his official position as Commander General of Kano State Hisba Board.
This was confirmed in a statement signed by the spokesman to Kano state governor Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa and made available to journalists in Kano on Tuesday.
The statement explained that Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa and the delegation led by Dr Musa Borodo and other renowned Islamic Scholars including Dr. Sa’idu Ahmad Dukawa, Shiek Abdulwahab Abdallah, Professor Salisu among others, held a meeting with the Governor.

The meeting with Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly Alhaji Jibrin Ismail Falgore, Secretary to State Government Dr Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and the Chief of Staff Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, lasted for one hour.
Briefing Government House Press Crew, shortly after the meeting, Dr Sa’idu Ahmad Dukawa explained that Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa would resume his responsibilities immediately at Kano Hisba Board.
Recalled that last Friday, the commander general of the state Hisbah board Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa announced his resignation in a viral video after the state governor criticized Hisba’s style of arresting commercial sex workers in Kano.
