Eid-el-Fitr Celebration: Ensure Visibility Policing, Aggressive Patrols, Kebbi CP Tells Area Commanders

The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Mr. Chris Aimionowane, has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical commanders to ensure visibility policing and aggressive patrols in their respective areas of responsibilities to ensure sustained improvement in public safety and security before and during this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebrations.

In a statement by the Command’s Image maker SP Nafiu Abubakar said the Commissioner of Police, while congratulating Muslim ummah in the State for their successful completion of this year`s Ramadan fast wishes all Muslim faithful a blissful Eid-el fitri celebrations.

The statement, however, called on the good people of the State to use this period of celebration for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of the State and the nation at large.

It also called on religious leaders, worshippers, and residents of the State to as cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the state as adequate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebration in the state.

The statement also said that the Commissioner of Police directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to dominate the State with overt and covert security deployments to safeguard the lives and properties of the peace-loving people of Kebbi State and also provide adequate security coverage to all worship and recreational centers.

While warning all troublemakers with evil intentions to disturb the celebration to stay away from the state and enjoined the good People of Kebbi State to remain peaceful and celebrate in moderation.
