One members of the Civilian Joint Taskforce have been killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Boko Haram terrorist in Damboa local government area of Borno state.
A security Analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the lakechad region and west Africa Zagazola Makama confirmed the development.

According to Zagazola, Four other civilian JTF members sustained injuries after stepping on the landmine while on a routine patrol along Maiduguri-Damboa Road.
Sources told Zagazola that one of the CJTF members instantly died while the remaining four sustained various injuries and were rushed to the Hospital.
