Kebbi Govt. to Pay 75,000 Naira As Minimum Wage

The Kebbi State Government, has approved for the payment of seventy five thousand naira (75,000) as minimum wage to civil servants in the state.

Speaking shortly after signing into law, Governor Nasir Idris, stated that, after receiving the report of the joint committee of the labour union and government with three recommendations, deem it fit to select the second option of 75,000 naira as the new minimum wage.

The Governor, said the minimum wage cut across all category of civil servants, local education authority and local government workers.

He directed for the state Ministry of Finance to commence payment within 72 hours.

The President Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero and his executive council were present at signing of the minimum wage at the chamber of the Government House Birnin Kebbi.
