“Kullu nafsin za’iqatul maut”
(Every soul shall taste death — Qur’an 3:185)
Seven days have passed since our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Hajiya Hajara Sulaiman, returned to her Lord at the age of 98.
Her life was one of meaning and purpose.
She was a strong mother, a patient woman, and a guiding light to many. Through her words and actions, she taught us love, respect, humility, and the fear of Allah. Her prayers, her wisdom, and her kindness remain deeply rooted in our hearts.
Since her passing, the home feels quieter. Her voice, her smile, and her comforting presence are greatly missed. Yet, we find solace in the knowledge that she lived a fulfilled life and returned to her Creator in peace.
She is survived by her children: Ahmad Tijjani Inuwa, Bashir Muhammad Galadanchi, Ummukulsum Muhammad Inuwa, Imam Inuwa (Gwale), Sa’adatu Muhammad Inuwa, and Maimuna Muhammad Inuwa, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As we mark her 7th day (Fidau), we continue to pray for her soul:
Allahumma ighfir laha, warhamha, wa’afiha, wa’fu anha.
(O Allah, forgive her, have mercy on her, grant her peace, and pardon her.)
Allahumma aj‘al qabraha rawdatan min riyadil jannah.
(O Allah, make her grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise.)
Allah ya jikanta da rahama, ya gafarta mata.
May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her light and peace in the grave, and admit her into Jannatul Firdaus.
She will forever live in our hearts.
