The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has suspended the Secretary to Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, and the Commissioner for Transport, Muhammad Diggol.
This was announced by the state party chairman, Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, on Monday evening.
According to Dungurawa, the suspension came after the party received multiple complaints from the ward and local government leadership of the party.

Dungurawa said they were suspended because of disrespecting the party and its leadership.
“The party cannot tolerate actions that undermine its leadership and structure. After receiving formal complaint letters from their wards, and upon confirmation of the allegations by the local leadership, we had no other option but to take this decisive step,” Dungurawa stated.
The leadership of the NNPP in Kano North, under the chairmanship of Sulaiman Dambatta, further verified the allegations, which led to the ultimate decision to suspend both officials.
SolaceBase reports that the suspension comes a few moments after the Kano State Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa announced that the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has reconciled Baffa Bichi and the chairmanship candidate of Bichi local government candidate of NNPP in the forthcoming local government election, Hamza Sule Maifata.
