Kano Police Image-maker Visits State Information Commissioner

The Kano state police public relation officer SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa and his information team has paid a courtesy visit to Kano state commissioner of information comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya as part of the strategy for information dissemination.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, speaking during the visit he stated that the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the Commissioner on his appointment and to discuss ways to strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the Ministry and the Kano State Police Command.

Kiyawa emphasized the need for collaboration between the two institutions to enhance information dissemination and public engagement on security matters.

The PPRO presented a set of books from the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Hussain Gumel, to the Commissioner as a gesture of goodwill and intellectual empowerment.

In his response, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, commended the gesture and underscored the importance of collaboration in ensuring public safety and effective communication between security agencies and the government.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the police to promote transparency, security awareness, and public enlightenment.

Waiya further stated that this mutual understanding would deepen synergy in security communication and crisis management, ensuring that accurate and timely information reaches the people of Kano State.
