The coalition of political analyst forum, democracy protectors and good governance has called on the supreme court of Nigeria to give its final verdict on the Kano state emirate contention currently on the table of its judges.
Comrade Al-amin Albarra, the executive director of the group disclosed this in a statement sent to journalist and sighted by GLOBAL TRACKER.
According to the statement, the group are primarily disturbed by the dangerous dimension the case is heading to in, and the matter was erroneously been hijacked by all comers intended to create chaos, mischief and reckless intervention in the legal process.
The forum statement reads in full “A CALL TO SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA TO GIVE A FINAL VERDICT ON KANO EMIRATE CONTENTION
Dear Honourable Supreme Court Judges
“Sequel to the ongoing Kano Emirship tussle, there is a growing interest
among the members of the general public for the highest bench of Judges to expedite action on the one-year long tussle about the legal implications of who is the tentative Emir of Kano.
“We, the Coalition of Political Analysts Forum, Democracy Protectors and Good Governance are primarily disturbed by the dangerous dimension this case is heading to in which a constitutionally arrived matter is erroneously been hijacked by all comers intended to create chaos, mischief and reckless intervention in the legal process.
“The esteemed attention of the Honourable Supreme Court Judges is hereby invited by this coaliation to use your wise counsel to determine the legal
powers of creating traditional institutions in our democratic setting.
“The forum also wishes to observe the impending tension, misunderstanding and polarization of people of Kano State along ethnic and divided loyalty if this scenario continues to drag on.
