The Chairman and proprietor of Yahuza Suya and Catering Services Nigerian Limited, Alhaji Yahuza Muhammad Idris has expressed shock, deep sorrow, and a heavy heart on the passing of elder statesman and former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Yahuza disclosed this in a statement he personally signed and sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano.
According to him, Nigeria has lost one of its most iconic and selfless leaders—an incorruptible patriot, a disciplined statesman, and a symbol of integrity who dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation with honour, courage, and unshakable commitment.

He said the former president from his days as a young military officer to his eventual emergence as Nigeria’s democratically elected President, Muhammadu Buhari stood tall as a beacon of hope, discipline, and forthrightness in national leadership. His unwavering resolve to tackle corruption, his passion for infrastructural rebirth, his investment in agricultural revival, and his strides in security sector reforms will remain etched in the annals of our history.
“President Buhari governed with a rare blend of simplicity, sincerity, and steadfast vision. Under his leadership, critical national infrastructure witnessed a renaissance—from road and rail development to power and agricultural transformation. His impact reached every corner of Nigeria, especially the long-neglected northern region, where he championed projects that uplifted the lives of ordinary citizens,” said the proprietor.
Yahuza noted that Buhari as a fellow patriot and public servant was committed to building a better Nigeria—one anchored on integrity, discipline, and inclusivity. His modest lifestyle, even while in the highest office, was a moral lesson to all who hold or aspire to public office.
On behalf of myself, my family, and friends extend my deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Her Excellency Aisha Buhari, his children, the emir of Daura, Alh. Faruk Umar Faruk, the entire Buhari family of Daura, the Government and People of Katsina State, and indeed, all Nigerians.
May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his noble deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. Nigeria has lost a hero, but his legacy shall endure.
