Insecurity: FG Deployed Military Armoured Personnel Carriers to Kebbi

The Federal Government, has deployed Military Armoured Personal Carriers (APC) to Kebbi with the aim of improving security in the state.

Governor Nasir Idris, while inspecting the Military Armoured Personnel Carriers, APCs, affirmed that, the his administration will continue to cater for the family upkeep of deceased troops who paid the supreme price in combat.

The Governor expressed appreciation to President Tinubu, the Chief of Defence Staff and other Heads of Security Agencies for being alive to their responsibilities in tackling the challenges of insecurity nationwide.

Governor Idris, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Army Staff, for sending armoured vehicles to Kebbi and assured continued support to security agencies to achieve successes on the battlefield against bandits.

“We are grateful for the deployment of hard military equipment to repel any attack by bandits in our mostly vulnerable local government areas”.

He however appealing to people resident in areas of operation, to cooperate with security agencies by giving intelligence report that will facilitate the eradication of banditry and restoring normalcy.

The Commanding officer, 223 Light Tank Battalion, Zuru, Lt. Colonel MS Saleh, who showcased the military equipment to the Governor, said they are working tirelessly round the clock to do their best in surmounting security challenges in the state

The Commanding officer, while thanking the Military High Command for its support and encouragement to troops involved in combat duties, he solicited the cooperation of the people by giving relevant information on movement and activities of bandits and other criminals.
