Deputy Commissioner of Police Passes Away in Kano

The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the death of its Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Aliyu Muhammed, who died at the Hospital in Hotoro, Kano State, while undergoing treatment.

The Command’s Public Relations officer CSP Nafiu Abubakar disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi saying that, sources within the command said DCP Muhammed had been receiving medical care at the hospital when his condition deteriorated unexpectedly and he was pronounced dead.

According to the statement, the Kebbi State commissioner of Police CP Bello Sani noted the loss as “regrettable” and affirmed that full details will be provided in due course.

Members of his family have been notified and arrangements are underway to liaise with them regarding funeral and burial rites, expected to follow Islamic tradition as indicated in the police statement

DCP Muhammed was widely regarded as an accomplished and committed officer whose remit included overseeing operations for the state command. His tenure was marked by efforts to enhance operational readiness and community policing in Kebbi State.
