One Kano Agenda, a nonprofit organization says it would hold a two-day economic and political conference scheduled to bring together stakeholders, policymakers, business leaders, youth groups, development partners and civil society organizations to deliberate on the economy and political future of Kano state.
Abubakar Abdulqadir Dangambo, the director media and publicity of one Kano Agenda disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Friday.
According to the statement, the two-day gathering will serve as intervention at decisive moments when Kano state is battling minor security and economic challenges.

It said, during the event, a political dialogue will be organized with intends to reshape mindsets, deepen democratic culture, and ensure that politics in Kano becomes a vehicle for progress, not division.
“This two-day gathering is not just another event, it is a needed intervention at a decisive moment in our state’s history. Kano stands at a crossroads, and the future we desire can only be achieved through deliberate planning, honest dialogue, and collaborative action. The conference will provide a platform for meaningful engagement, innovative ideas, and a united voice in charting Kano’s next chapter,” said the statement.
“The One Kano Agenda calls on the people of Kano, professionals, youth, community leaders, religious institutions, business owners, and the general public, to key into this initiative, participate actively, and contribute to shaping a better, stronger, and more prosperous Kano State”, Dangambo said in the statement.
Day One: Kano Economic Summit
This session will focus on:
* Repositioning Kano as a regional economic powerhouse
* Strengthening local industries, SMEs, and the commerce sector
* Attracting investment and rebuilding economic confidence
* Learning from other successful states such as Lagos, whose long-term vision has shaped sustainable development
* Mapping out a realistic, actionable roadmap for Kano’s economic revival
The economic summit is expected to stimulate critical conversations and partnerships that will support job creation, entrepreneurship, infrastructure development, and broader wealth-creation opportunities for the citizens of Kano.
Day Two: Kano Political Dialogue
The second day will address:
* Strengthening political participation and leadership quality
* Promoting youth involvement and political re-orientation
* Reducing political manipulation and violence
* Encouraging issue-based politics grounded in development
* Building a united, peaceful, and politically stable Kano State
