The executive governor of Kano State Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has offered condolences to the family of a woman and her six children murdered in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters in Kano metropolis.
The governor has also ordered the Attorney General to take over the prosecution of the suspects, ensuring justice is served.
Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the director general of media and publicity, Kano state government house disclosed this in a statement sent to Journalists in Kano on Wednesday.

Governor Yusuf announced the intervention during a condolence visit to the family, where he expressed deep sympathy and assured them of the Kano State Government’s continued support.
The Governor also directed that a new and befitting house be given to the bereaved father as part of efforts to rehabilitate him and restore his social life.
He further assured that the state government would take full responsibility for the man’s welfare and support him to remarry, should he find a suitable life partner, while taking care of all necessary requirements for him to restart again.
On justice, Governor Yusuf directed the Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to fast-track prosecution of the suspects already arrested in connection with the killings.
He assured that all those found culpable would be prosecuted for justice to be served.
The Governor also promised that he would sign the death warrant for any convict found guilty in the Chiranci Dorayi killings.
He added that the same action would apply to the killers of Hanifa and the Gezawa arsonists who set many people ablaze, once convicted by the court.
He commended the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies for their synergy and swift action that led to the arrest of the suspects.
In appreciation of the government’s intervention, the bereaved father of the Chiranci victims donated his personal house to the Kano State Government for the construction of an Islamiyya school to serve the community.
Governor Yusuf concluded by praying for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and to give their families and the people of Kano State patience and lasting peace.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for increased security measures and community involvement to prevent similar attacks.
In a related development, Governor Yusuf also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Dr. Bature AbdulAziz, President of the National Patriotic Elders Forum for Peace and Unity, to commiserate with them over his passing.
The Governor described the late Dr. AbdulAziz was a patriotic elder and peace advocate whose contributions to unity and national development would be remembered, while praying for Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
The Governor equally paid a condolence visit to Baba Umar, the Executive Secretary, Kano State Private and Voluntary Schools Board, over the death of his mother a few days ago.
