According to the source, the pressure created by the community’s mobilisation forced the criminals to abandon Nadabo at a sand mining site and flee the area in an attempt to save their lives.

“People in the area circled and coordinated all the entrance and exit points of the community. The development forced the criminals to abandon the kidnapped traditional title holder and save their lives,” the source said.

The source added that the abductors left Nadabo at the sand mining site before escaping, after residents and security personnel reportedly intensified efforts to locate and intercept them.

The successful rescue has brought relief to Nadabo’s family and residents of Chiromawa and has highlighted the potential importance of community vigilance and coordinated action during security emergencies.

However, details surrounding the exact circumstances of the abduction and release remained unclear as of the time of filing this report, as security agencies were still gathering information on the incident.
