The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has organized a special Ramadan lecture for women journalists with a view of reminding them of the importance of the last ten days of the month.
The NAWOJ National Secretary Wasila Ibrahim Ladan said the annual lecture which was the first of its kind is aimed at bringing women journalists together and upholding the teaching of Prophet Muhammad.
“We want our members to come together and listen to this lecture so that what they will learn here will support them in their religion and day-to-day activities,” she said.

In a remark, the Hisbah commander in Dawakin Kudu Mrs. Saratu Sheik Nasiru Kabara highlighted the importance of strict following of the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, adding that all challenges people face would be history if people follow his footsteps.
She urged Muslims around the world to continue and pray for peace to rain in the country, saying if there is no peace nothing will go normal, and human life is to be at stake.
Those in attendance are the director general of ARTV, the Managing Director (MD) of Radio Kano, the representative of commissioner information, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information Hajiya Hafsat Iliyasu, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) chairman Kano Alhaji Abbas Ibrahim, and other dignitaries.
