Murtala Garo Sworn In as Kano Deputy Governor Amid High-Profile Ceremony

Murtala Sule Garo has been officially sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Kano State, marking a new phase in the state’s executive leadership.

The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Dije Abdu Aboki, at a ceremony held at the Africa House Government House Kano, formally inaugurating Garo as the second-highest executive officer in the state.

The swearing-in ceremony attracted a high-profile gathering of political heavyweights and stakeholders, reflecting the significance of the moment in Kano’s political landscape. Among those in attendance were former governors Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (2015–2023) and Ibrahim Shekarau (2003–2011), alongside the Member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Abubakar Kabir Bichi.
