FRSC Deploys 950 Officers Ahead Of Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations in Kwara

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Kwara State Command says it has deployed 950 Officers and Marshals, to ensure safety on the roads during Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebrations across the state.

In a statement the Public Education Officer, Kwara sector command of the corps, Basambo Busari said
40 patrol vehicles, two power bikes, four ambulances, four private owned tow truck and a 70 tonnes tow-truck have also been deployed.

The statement said personnel for traffic control have been deployed at strategic locations within Ilorin township and major cities in the state.

The statement urged motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations and avoid Excessive speeding, Overloading, Obstruction, as well as Use of Phone While Driving.

The statement said the Command will organize a Public Enlightenment campaign/Mega Rally in all interstate motor parks, to sensitize the motoring public.

The statement noted that the command will also carry out a special patrol operation and traffic control to ease the road congestion in Ilorin metropolis and all major roads linking the state.

The statement maintained that the operation is targeted toward achieving five percent reduction in road crash fatalities death and injuries.
