The Jigawa state police command said it has Arrested two hundred and ninety-eight (298) suspected Criminals in three months in the state.
The command in a statement signed its public relations officer DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam said the Criminals ranges from armed robbers, kidnappers, Murders, Rapists, Vandals, rustlers, fraudsters and other who were arrested on different knocks and crannies of the state.
Shiisu said the breakdown of those arrested includes 25 suspected armed robbers, 12 suspected kidnappers, 36 Murder suspects, 25 suspected rapist, 37 suspected thieves, 15 suspected vandals, 17 suspected animals rustler and 5 suspected fraudsters.

“Raiding (Belonging to the Gang of Brigands) One hundred and twenty-six (126) suspects,” said Shiisu.
Also, the command was able to rescue six (6) kidnapped victims.
Furthermore, the Command recovered exhibits to include One (1) AK 47 riffle, one (1) Beretta pistol, three (3) locally made guns, forty-eight (48) life of Ammunition, twenty (20) motor vehicles/ cycles, and sixty-four rustled animals and others.
According to its imagemaker, the state Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP. Effiom Emmanuel Ekot is also calling on the entire people of the state to continue to partner with the Police in the fight against crimes.

“Let me stress here and now that the Jigawa State Command will not relent on its oars of protecting the lives and properties of the good people of the state.” Said Lawan Shiisu.
The Command thanked the Inspector General of Police, Ag IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbeyokun and the Jigawa State Governments for their support rendered to the Command, and to appreciate all the Security agencies for their collaboration and synergy.
