The Kano state Commissioner of Environment and climate change Dr. Nasiru Sule Garo has appreciated the total compliance of January’s monthly environmental sanitation saying “people’s compliance is in solidarity with the victory of governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the supreme Court.
Recalled that the supreme Court of Nigeria has Affirmed the election of the New Nigeria People Party NNPP’S Abba Kabir Yusuf after he was sacked by Kano state election petition tribunal and subsquaently the court of appeals.
However, briefing journalist shortly after monthly environmental Sanitation conducting in Kano, Garo said the restoration of people’s Mandate make them happy and assured their total compliance with the exercise.

The commissioner urged the general public to sustain the tempo, assuring that the state government will on 2024 comes off with policies and programmes that will improve all knocks and crannies of the state.
Meanwhile, the commissioner has warned the management of “Yan Rake” market at Kofar Kansakali in Gwale local government area for partially operating during the excercise saying anybody found wanting will be dealt with.
“We are very happy with to level of compliance, we believe the total compliance we have seen is because of the supreme Court Victory of Kano governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, we thanked them for the compliance and we hope they will continue to sustain it, whatever government is doing is for the sake of good people, so we hope they will continue,” he said.

Asked on the issue of indiscriminate falling of trees at Hadejia road in Nigeria local government area, he said it was as a result of federal government road project and the state ministry of Works has officially write to the ministry on the project.
