Easter Celebration: NSCDC Deploys Over 1,300 Personnel in Kano

The Kano state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) says it has deployed 1,384 personnel to churches and Christian worshipping places as well as strategic locations for peaceful and hitch-free Good Friday and Easter Monday in the state.

SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, command public relations officer disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Thursday.

According to the statement, the personnel have been drawn from the Operation Department, Critical National Assets Protection Department, Armed Squad, and Anti-Vandalism Units to complement the efforts of those at the divisional offices in providing adequate security during and after the Easter celebrations in the state.

The state commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala then urged the general public, especially Christians to use the celebration and pray for peaceful coexistence and a crime-free Nigeria.
