Kano Education Ministry, AGILE Mourns Salisu Idris

The Management of the Kano State Ministry of Education, staff, and the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment AGILE project in the state were thrown into the morning following the death of Alhaji Salisu Idris.

Salisu Idris a director of Partnership at the ministry as well as the deputy project coordinator of AGILE died on Saturday night after a brief illness.

The deceased was known as a decent, humble, courageous, man of integrity and honesty,” Yusha’u Hamza Kafin-chiri a director of monitoring and evaluation at the ministry said.

Meanwhile, the state commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa has condoled with the family, friends, and people of Dakata Quarters in the Nassarawa local government area of the state over the loss.

In a statement, by the Director of public relations and Enlightenment at the ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru quoted the commissioner as saying the deceased was an honest and hardworking person who contributed immensely to the development of educational sector in the state.

“Salisu Idris is very committed and obedient civil servant whose good performance in this ministry especially at his capacity of Director Partnership will continue to be remembered.

“The death of Salisu Idris is a great loss not only to his family but to the entire state as someone who spent the whole of his life contributing to the development of state education system ” Doguwa stated.

He then prayed Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdausi and give the family, friends and all his relatives the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Aged 56 late Salisu Idris held the position of Director Partnership at the state ministry of education for about four years.

He died and left behind three wives and many children.

The funeral prayers of late Salisu Idris took place at his residence of Dakata Quarters, Nasarawa LGA.
