The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has cautioned the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) against interference in the internal crisis of the All Progressive Congress (APC) or any other political party saying it is against the law.

Recalled that the CUPP has vehemently opposed any attempts by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate the authentic identities of executive ward members in Ganduje Ward, as duly recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The CUPP’s remarks come a day after a new faction claiming to be the rightful executive members of APC’s Ganduje Ward from Dawakin Tofa local government area of Kano state emerged.

Addressing the issue, the chairman of CUPP Muhammad Abdullahi Raji, expressed concerns about signs indicating that the Kano APC is plotting to alter the list and include individuals who are not legitimate members.

However, the IPAC Kano state Secretary and the chairman of Allied People’s Movement (APM) Alhaji Nuhu Idris in an Audio message sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Monday said the coalition should stop interference in the matters that in any way does not concern them.

According to him, CUPP is a coalition of political parties that was deregistered as well as scrapped by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and that does not in any way advise, caution or legally communicate to any political party or INEC.

Nuhu Idris said IPAC is an umbrella of registered political parties which come into being from the INEC code of conduct adding that the commission was also a member of IPAC.

“By law, there is no individual or group who has the right to interface in internal affairs of any political party, What IPAC is doing is to unite political parties for a better democracy and rule of law,” said Nuhu.

Meanwhile, IPAC has suspended the chairman of the Labour Party in Kano state Abdullahi Raji from the council adding that they have communicated to his national secretariat about the suspension.

“Seens the labor party chairman has changed to CUPP, he can no longer serve in IPAC,” Nuhu added.
