The Mobile court attached to Kano State Central Sanitation Committee has fined Galadima Market the sum of five hundred thousand Naira (500,000) found to be selling fish and consumables dirty place.
Magistrate Auwal Yusuf Suleiman who ordered the fine said the market action was against Kano state environmental protection law, hence he imposed the sanction.
The court also ordered the management of the market to ensure maximum compliance with all the observation tables before them by sanitation experts.

Meanwhile, the state commissioner for environment and climate change Alhaji Nasiru Sule Garo has urged the management of Sheik Jidda General Hospital to ensure proper evacuation as well as disposal of their medical waste saying the failure may affect patients or their relatives.
According to him, some of the waste may contain bloodstains and needles which may be dangerous to others, adding that Sheik Jidda is the home of health professionals more is needed for them to tackle the menace.
The commissioner also urged the management of Abubakar Rimi market to rise to their responsibilities and sure that all the knocks and crannies of it are clean.
He hopes that the people in the state will complement Engineer Abba Kabiru Yusuf’s led administration in maintaining a healthy environment and clearing drainages ahead of raining season.
