Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa OON, (Makaman Bichi), was honoured and conferred with the prestigious title of Philanthropy of the Year by the National Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) at the National SWAN Full Council Meeting and it was presented by HE Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was represented by Commissioner of Sports and Youth Development Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwanso.
The event, held on thursday 2nd May recognized Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa’s outstanding contributions to sports development and youth empowerment in the state and the nation at large.
For over three decades, Tofa has been a beacon of support for sporting activities in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
