After GLOBAL TRACKER Report, Kano Govt. Drags ARTV MD, SO to Court

In less than 24 hours after GLOBAL TRACKER published an article berating Kano state government inaction on the alleged corrupt managing director of Kano state own Abubakar Rimi Television Mustapha Adamu Indabawa, the state government has dragged the embattled MD to Court.

The state government has filed seven-count charges of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation and diversion of fund among others running into millions of naira against the MD and Staff Officer (SO), Ibrahim M. Bello.

The application to prefer charge against the duo under section 211 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended) and Section 121 (1), 123 (1) (a) 126( b) and 377 of the Kano State Administration of Criminal Justice Law (2019) sighted by SOLACEBASE on Tuesday, dated May 14th, 2024, was attached with the charge sheet, the list of witnesses and their statements, a summary of statements of witnesses, the summary of evidence and copies of the statements of the defendants and other exhibits.

The charge was filed by Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission under the fiat accorded it by the Attorney General of the state.

Report says that the state anti-corruption commission investigated the matter sequel to a petition written to the state governor against the embattled ARTV Managing Director, Mustapha Adamu Indabawa.
