The funeral prayers of Hajiya Asiya Gauyama, late mother-in-law of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, was held on Monday at his residence in Nassarawa GRA, Kano.
She was subsequently buried shortly after conducting the funeral rites.
Hajiya Asiya departed to the great beyond at the age of 90 on Sunday evening in Kano.
The funeral prayer, which was initially scheduled to hold at 2 pm Monday at Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s residence on Miyangu Road, Kano state, was eventually shifted to 2:35 pm.
The funeral prayer had elicited large crowd of mourners, including politicians, clerics, businessmen, and other prominent figures, who converged to register their respective condolences to the Ganduje family.
Notable eminent personalities sighted by our Correspondent include; Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Kano APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas and Senator representing Kano South, Alhaji Sulieman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila among others.
