The Jigawa state police command has warned the people against Disruption of public order saying anybody found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted.
The command public relation officer DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam in a statement on behalf of the state commissioner of police AT Abdullahi said it has deployed personnel to ensure hitch-free Christmas and new year celebrations.
According to him, the command has reassure the state’s Christian community that it has deployed Conventional Police, Mobile Policemen, Operatives from State Intelligence Department, Personnel from Explosive Ordinance Disposal, and Traffic Wardens, along with the necessary logistics, to all churches, recreation centers, parks, malls, and other public places across the state’s twenty-seven (27) local government areas.

The Commissioner of Police warned Officers deployed to this critical assignment to be courteous, civil, and professional while carrying out their legitimate responsibilities.
He said police operatives in collaborate with other sister security agencies and all relevant stakeholders will ensure that this year’s Yuletide festivities are peaceful and trouble-free.
They vows to apprehend miscreants who may use the opportunity to incite trouble or disrupt public order, and to bring them before a court of justice to face the full wrath of the law.
The Command urges members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement of persons or objects to the nearest police station or other security agencies for immediate intervention.
