The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State Chapter says it would conduct fresh Elections for the leaders that would run the affairs of the union in three years time.
GLOBAL TRACKER recalled that this comes after the resignation of the president, secretary and treasurer of the association last month in the state, amid dispute between members and some executives.
The development was announced by the national president of the association Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim Bura after successfully resolved all the dispute as well as inaugurating the credentials committee.

Mrs Bura told the committee that, a lot is expected from them by ensuring free, fair and credible elections.
Hajiya Aisha reminded them of the critical importance of Kano state in NAWOJ and NUJ expressing the need to fill the vacuum being created by some members of the care taker committee who resigned voluntarily on personal grounds.
She thanked them for their service throughout their tenure, urging them to avail themselves anytime their services are required.
The credentials committee has Halima Musa Chairperson and Hussaina Bichi Secretary as well as three other members.
