Six people have died as a result of an outbreak suspected to be Cholera while fourteen others hospitalized at Yabo Fada Salkawa Community in Yauri local government area of Kebbi State.
The state Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Ismail while briefing journalist in Birnin Kebbi said based on the reports by health personnel in the area, the victims died as a result of drinking contaminated water.
While confirming the dead of six people and fourteen others hospitalised at Yauri General hospital, the Commissioner however was not contained weather those who died was as a result of Cholera, Vomiting or diarrhoea.

He disclosed that, six out of the fourteen on admission were also discharged adding that, adequate measures were taken by blocking the upcoming contaminated water into the river Niger, provision of over head tanks for portable water as well as available drugs to the affected victims on medical attention.
The Commissioner however warned residents in the area against using water which flows from far distance without boiling.
People of Community are living at a river side where they usually drunk a contaminated water coming into the river.
