The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has accepted certain aspects of united state’s president Donald Trump ceasefire proposal tabled to both side.

In video message, president Trump commended some global communities especially Turkey for their contributions in drafting the proposal which according to him will go long way in ensuring peaceful middle east.

Hamas has responded to Trump’s 20-point Gaza ceasefire plan, agreeing to release hostages in exchange for a cessation of fire and expressing willingness to hand over Gaza’s governance to a Palestinian technocrat body based on national consensus.

However, other issues related to Gaza’s future and Palestinian rights are up for comprehensive national discussion, grounded in international laws and resolutions.

Some of the key points from Hamas’ response include, Hostage Release, Gaza Governance and Further Negotiations.

Trump’s plan also involves, Disarmament of Hamas, International Stabilization Force among others.

“We renew our agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian body,” the group said in a statement posted on its social media handle.

However, Trump expressed his happiness following quick response from the group.

He posted on his TRUTH SOCIAL that “Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE. Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East.”

What now remained is if the israel government would adhere to the agreement reached at the proposal or will continue its violations of ceasefire rules.
