CSADI Visits Nigerian Red Cross, Moves to Strengthen Community and Humanitarian Response in Kano

The Community Support and Development Initiatives (CSADI) has taken a significant step toward strengthening humanitarian service delivery with a strategic partnership drive during a recent visit to the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Kano State Branch.

The visit focused on exploring areas of collaboration aimed at improving community health, nutrition, emergency response, and support for vulnerable populations across Kano State.

The executive director of CSADI Hajiya Zainab Ahmad Suleiman MFR, JP expressed its readiness to partner with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, noting that strategic collaboration among humanitarian organizations remains key to achieving sustainable development outcomes.

As part of the engagement, CSADI presented a sample of its highly nutritious “Tom Brown” food supplement to the Red Cross as a demonstration of its nutrition intervention support for children and pregnant women.

The initiative highlights CSADI’s commitment to addressing malnutrition and promoting community-based health solutions through partnership.

Speaking during the visit, the executive secretary of Nigeria Red Cross Society, Kano branch Alhaji Musa D. Abdullahi, expressed happiness and appreciation for the visit.

The Red Cross commended CSADI’s efforts in community nutrition and child welfare interventions and welcomed the organization’s willingness to collaborate in areas of mutual interest.

The Red Cross leadership emphasized that partnerships of this nature align with the Society’s long-standing humanitarian mandate.

The Nigerian Red Cross Society has supported Nigerians since 1917, providing critical services in emergency response, health, and humanitarian assistance nationwide.

Both organizations acknowledged that combining CSADI’s community-based development experience with the Red Cross’ extensive humanitarian network would enhance outreach, improve service delivery, and increase impact, particularly for vulnerable groups.

The visit marks an important step toward building a strong, strategic partnership focused on shared humanitarian goals, community resilience, and improved wellbeing for people across Kano State.
