Four individuals, three armed with clubs and one in a police mobile uniform, reportedly stormed the residence of the former Kano State Commissioner for Internal Security, AVM Ibrahim Umar (retired), in the early hours of today and confiscated Motor Vehicle donated to him by executive governor of Kano state Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The incident, which occurred between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM, saw the masked operatives forcing entery in to the premises and harassing the family.
According to sources within the family and an eyewitness, the group arrived at the home wearing face masks, three of them brandishing clubs, while the fourth wiring Mobile Police Uniform.

The operatives allegedly breached the gate, gaining access to the house without authorization and no formal identification or introduction.
One of the Commissioner’s wives recounted how the operatives proceeded to harass her, claiming to be acting under direct orders from the Kano state government house.
The motive behind the intrusion remains unclear, however they wisked away (SUV Shangan) the Car donated to the commissioner by the Kano state government.
Efforts to reach AVM Ibrahim Umar for comments proved abortive.
GLOBAL TRACKER reached out to the press secretary of the executive governor of Kano state Malam Mustapha Muhammad who denied knowledge about the development.
Also the Kano state police public relations officer SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa could not be reached at press time.
However, the development could draw a hard line between the state government and the Kwankwasiya Movement as commissioner whom resigned after governor Yusuf Defection to All Progressive Congress APC may look at the development as political witch hunting.
