Thousands of supporters thronged Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency as Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, popularly known as Jarman Bebeji, secured affirmation and emerged as candidate for a fifth term in the House of Representatives.
The event, which drew political stakeholders, party loyalists, youth groups, and hundreds of thousands of supporters from across the constituency, transformed Kiru/Bebeji into a major political gathering point in Kano South Senatorial District.
Observers described the turnout as one of the largest political mobilisations recently witnessed in the area, underscoring Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa’s enduring political influence and grassroots support.
Supporters at the rally openly declared their backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, chanting slogans and waving party banners throughout the event.
In his acceptance speech, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa expressed appreciation to the people of the constituency for what he described as years of trust, loyalty, and political support.
“I sincerely thank the people of Kiru/Bebeji for standing with me over the years. I will never take this support for granted, and I assure you that I will continue to work tirelessly for the progress of our constituency and Kano State,” he stated.
The lawmaker, widely regarded as one of the influential political figures in Kano South, highlighted several achievements recorded during his previous periods in office, despite what he described as interruptions and circumstances that prevented him from completing some of his terms.
He also commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing their administrations as a new phase of development and transformation for Nigeria, Northern Nigeria, and Kano State.
“The leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf represents a new chapter of progress and development for our people,” he said.
Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa further appealed to other aspirants and political stakeholders within the party to unite and work collectively toward victory in the forthcoming elections.
“There is no victor and no vanquished. This victory belongs to all of us, and we must remain united for the progress of our party and our people,” he added.
Political analysts say the large turnout at the affirmation rally reflects Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa’s continued relevance in Kano politics and signals an early consolidation of support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency remains one of the most politically strategic constituencies in Kano South due to its large voting population and strong influence within the state’s political landscape.
