The Kano State Drugs and Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) has received a truck from Fidson Healthcare to complement government efforts in the distribution of drugs across the state.
The Director General of the agency Pharmacist Gali Sule said the donation comes at the right time, and it will go a long way to complement the Kano state government’s effort of a total overhaul of the health sector.
He stressed that the state government, led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, is of utmost priority to the health sector.
In a statement signed and sent to GLOBAL TRACKER by the public relations officer of the agency, Faruk Isa Musa quoted Pharmacist Sule as expressing his happiness to the company for their support, pledging that the vehicle will be used judiciously.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Kano State government, we are wholeheartedly very happy for the support. This donation is very important to us, and the truck is handy,” he revealed.
Handing over the key and documents of the vehicle, the Divisional Manager Fidson Healthcare Plc, Pharm. Jerome Dagun said the donation is a part of corporate social responsibility from the firm to support the state government’s initiatives geared towards the improvement of the health sector.
Speaking at the occasion, Director Pharmaceutical Services, Kano State Ministry of Health, Pharm. Kamilu Mudi Salisu, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, thanked Fidson Healthcare Plc. for the kind gesture.
