Due to excessive hot weather and high morbidity, the Kano state hospital management board (HMB) has cautioned the general public to stay away from less ventilated houses or rooms and reports any unusual symptoms to the nearest hospital for necessary actions.
The Executive secretary of the board Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda disclosed this in a public noticed sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano at the weekend by public relations officer of the board Samira Suleiman.
According to him, some highly risk developed by people include severe fever, headache, vomiting and neck stiffness, sore throat, fatigue among others.

He said a specialist team of expert on Rapid Response Team (RRT) was activated by all health facilities to deal with any emergency.
“Due to the change in weather and high morbidity, the Executive Secretary kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda is advising the general public to be cautious and visit the nearest hospital once you develop any unusual symptoms to avoid heat stroke and cerebrospinal meningitis.”
“Some of the high risk symptoms includes, Severe fever, headache, vomiting and neck stiffness, sore throat, fatigue and lassitude as other symptoms.

“Make sure your blood samples for MP, FBC, CSF, Analysis + – PCR and blood culture are taken.
“A Rapid Response Team (RRT) will be activated by all facilities for emergency cases.
“Patients with co mor bidites like diabetes and hypertension should seek medical advice as often.
“Do not forget to take alot of water and avoid going around under the hot sun. Sleep in well ventilated rooms and avoid overcrowded places.
