In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the commissioners emphasised the need for a common messaging framework across federal and state communication structures to ensure consistency and strengthen public engagement.

They, however, noted that the framework should allow individual states to adapt government messages to their local languages, cultures and community realities to ensure effective communication at the grassroots.

The commissioners also called for improved access to information on Federal Government projects, interventions and social programmes to enable state information managers to accurately communicate their implementation and impact.
