JNC Commends Kano Governor Over ₦20,000 Sallah Support Package for Civil Servants

The Joint Public Service Negotiation Council (JNC), Kano State Council, has expressed profound appreciation to the Kano State Government for approving a ₦20,000 Sallah Support Package for civil servants on Grade Levels 01–14 ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebrations.

In a statement issued by the Council’s Public Relations Officer, Haladu Musa, the Chairman of JNC Kano State, Hashim A. Saleh, felicitated with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Secretary to the State Government, the Head of Civil Service, and the entire workforce in Kano State on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha.

The council described the approval of the support package as a demonstration of the governor’s concern for the welfare of workers and a reflection of the administration’s commitment to improving the wellbeing of civil servants.

“The Joint Public Service Negotiation Council wishes to express its deepest appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, for graciously approving the payment of ₦20,000 as Sallah Support Package to state civil servants on Grade Levels 01–14,” the statement said.

The council prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, and support for the governor and his administration in steering the affairs of the state.

JNC also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining cordial relations between government and workers through constructive engagement and dialogue aimed at promoting industrial harmony and a productive public service.

According to the council, sustained collaboration between labour and government remains essential for achieving an effective, vibrant, and efficient civil service capable of delivering quality services to the people of Kano State.

The union further called on civil servants across the state to reciprocate the government’s gesture by demonstrating dedication, commitment, professionalism, and diligence in the discharge of their duties.

“We call on all civil servants to reciprocate government’s efforts by contributing positively towards ensuring an effective, vibrant, and productive civil service in Kano State,” the statement added.

The JNC concluded by wishing all workers and residents of Kano State a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually rewarding Eid al-Adha celebration.
