Dorayi Security Breach: Kano Police Command Deserves Commendation for Prompt Response — KPC

The Kano State Peace Committee(KPC) says the Kano state police command deserves commendation for promptly responding to contain the security breach at Dorayi quarters of the Gwale local government area in the Kano metropolis.

The KPC also welcomes the decision for the establishment of ANTI — DABA divisional police office in the area.

The KPC disclosed this in a statement signed by the co-chair of the committee Rev. Dr. John Namaza Niyiring and head of the Secretariat/convener Ambassador Ibrahim Waiya which was sent to GLOBAL TRACKER in Kano on Thursday.

According to the statement, after condemning the ugly incident, urged the state police command to conduct a discrete investigation into the matter to fish out all those involved in the commission of a dangerous act and also unmask their sponsors and Godfathers to face Justice.

It said “While we condemn the heinous development, we wish to as well commend the prompt action of the Kano State Police Command, under the stewardship of CP Muhammad Hussaini Gumel, for containing the situation.

“We equally wish to commend the Command, for considering the idea of establishing an Anti-Daba Divisional Police Office at Dorayi Quarters, as a measure to contain future occurrences.

“Similarly, we wish to unequivocally appreciate the Kano Police Command, over the arrest of some suspects in connection to the ugly incident, and urge the police to conduct a discreet investigation into the matter, to fish out all those who were involved in the commission of this dangerous acts, and to also unmask their sponsors and Godfathers, to face the music. This we believe shall serve as a deterrent to others.

“While we pray for God’s mercy for the departed souls, we also pray for the quick recovery of the injured and wounded victims. We therefore beseech the Kano State Government to cater for the medical expenses of all the survivors involved in the incident to reduce their suffering. We urge the Kano citizens to continue to support our security agencies in the State, through information and credible intelligence sharing for prompt action, to bring an end to political thuggery, hooliganism, and all other forms of violent activities in the State.

Meanwhile, KPC has congratulated Christian brothers and sisters on a happy and hitch-free Easter celebration and urged them to commit this country to the hands of God, to attain security, prosperity, and development.
