The Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ, Kano state chapter has distanced itself from a claim made by the embattled managing director of Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) Mustapha Adamu Indabawa that NAWOJ stands with him in a petition written by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) ARTV chapel and Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) ARTV chapel against him.

GLOBAL TRACKER yesterday reported that the Union has cried out for help following a series of Threats to them by the Managing Director of the station.

However, in a swift reaction, the chairperson of NAWOJ Hafsat Sani Usman said “I want to unequivocally state that the NAWOJ is a one hundred percent part of the petition, adding that any suggestions otherwise is inaccurate and misleading.
