Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has recommended to the state head of service to appoint a supervisory officer for the state-owned Abubakar Rimi Television ARTV.
The position of the Anti-Graft Agency was a sequel to the ongoing investigation of the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mustapha Ibrahim Indabawa, and other management staff that uncovered systemic and coordinated corruption activities in the executive arm of the station.
Consequently, the Anti-corruption has directed that the office of the chief executive officer of the station be locked up to keep official documents safe, and intact for robust investigation.

A credible source who spoke to Daily INDEPENDENT on Wednesday afternoon said “I believe any moment from now our chairman would submit the findings and recommendations to the governor.’’
He revealed that ‘’The ongoing investigation has further revealed that the television station generates a lot of unaccounted revenue, le many redundant staff have been discovered in the organisation.’’
An unnamed official with knowledge of ongoing investigations told Daily INDEPENDENT that the Managing Director, Mustapha Ibrahim organization’s management staff have started returning illicit funds allegedly withdrawn from the organization’s vault.
The source added that ‘’Presently we have to be returned do recover a little above N3.5m from some of the staff while the managing director allegedly return close to N100,000 claiming that he does not have the alleged misappropriated fund again but he is willing to submit his exotic car or sell same to return the money, ‘’

The source maintained that the Anti-corruption Agency rejected the department of his exotic cars, adding the tactics allegedly employed by the embattled Managing Director are “weak, and evasive”.
Recall that Kano State Public Complaints and Aarei-Corruption Commission swooped on public television n following a petition by the joint union of NUJ and RATTAWU chapel of the organization that led to the discovery of financial impropriety running into over N100m.
