BREAKING: US, France, 6 Other Foreign Embassies Under Attack in DR Congo

The embassies of many foreign countries have come under attack in the Democratic Republic of Congo over the gained by M23 fighters trying to takeover Congo’s second largest city Goma.

People in DRC believed that the M23 terrorist group is fully supported by Rwanda and Uganda which was funded by US, France and the European union.

Dozens of people were killed and many were injured in Goma as rabels takeover Goma’s international airport.

Reports say US, France, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Japan, Belgium and the NetherLand have all been either attacked or set on fire.

GLOBAL TRACKER learned that Goma International Airport falls to M23 rebels as government soldiers reportedly lay down arms and seek refugee at city’s UN base.

Police fired teargas as protesters marched to the embassies in Kinshasa, looting or setting fires to parts of diplomatic buildings.

Meanwhile, the European Union on Tuesday condemned the attacks DRC.

A spokesman for the EU’s foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas said in Brussels that the bloc was calling for the protection of diplomatic missions in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot specifically condemned an attack on France’s embassy in the capital, Kinshasa, saying: “these attacks are unacceptable. Everything is being done to ensure the safety of our personnel and our citizens.”
