The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the successful payment of all outstanding refunds to intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise, bringing closure to earlier financial adjustments in the pilgrimage fare.
The Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this during an interview with journalists, stating that the refunds covered pilgrims who had earlier paid the initial Hajj fare.
According to him, approximately five batches of pilgrims have received payments representing the balance following a downward review of the Hajj cost.
