The congress, conducted shortly after the expiration of the tenure of the previous executives, produced Nuhu Idris as the new Kano State Chairman of the party.

Speaking after the election, the newly elected chairman said the party would focus on addressing insecurity, reviving the economy, and implementing developmental projects aimed at improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians if elected into office.

According to him, combating banditry and kidnapping would remain a major priority, noting that insecurity has continued to threaten communities and economic activities across the country.

“Our priority will be securing the nation against banditry and kidnapping, improving the economy, and delivering developmental projects for the masses,” he stated.

He added that the party intends to pursue policies that would promote job creation, support youths and women, and strengthen social and economic development at the grassroots level.

The chairman also described the APM as one of the fastest-growing opposition political parties in Nigeria, stressing that the party is positioning itself as a strong alternative platform ahead of future elections.

He argued that the party’s expanding influence and support base reflect growing public interest in alternative political leadership and governance focused on the welfare of citizens.

Political observers say the emergence of the new executives is expected to strengthen the party’s structure in Kano State as it intensifies mobilisation and preparations for future political activities.
