Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kano State, Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, has been buried in Kano following his death at the age of 76.
Darma died on Friday after a brief illness.
His funeral prayer was held at his residence in Hotoro, near the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, on Friday.

The deceased was described as a prominent member of the Kano APC whose death has thrown members of the party, political associates, friends and members of the wider community into mourning.
His death marks a loss to the APC family in Kano, where he was known for his participation in the party’s activities and political engagements.
Darma was also said to have maintained relationships with political associates and community members beyond partisan politics.
He is survived by his family and other relatives.
