The Member of the House of Representatives representing Minjibir and Ungogo Federal Constituency, Alhaji Sani Adamu Wakili, has strongly condemned the Kano State Government’s decision to suspend the construction of the Titin Badaru Road in the Gayawa Ungogo Local Government.
Wakili made his position known while speaking with journalists on Friday, following the announcement by the Kano State Ministry of Works regarding the suspension of the project.
He said the suspension of the Titin Badaru Road project amounted to subjecting residents of the area to further hardship, particularly during the ongoing rainy season.

The lawmaker explained that the Badaru Road project was among the projects he had persistently advocated for, stressing that he had made considerable efforts to ensure its implementation in order to promote development in the area.
Wakili further assured residents that, if the NDC governorship candidate in Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, is elected governor, they would work together to provide more development projects and essential infrastructure for the people of Minjibir and Ungogo Local Government Areas.
The lawmaker added that they were currently assessing alternative arrangements for the project following the Kano State Government’s decision to suspend the work.
Wakili used the opportunity to appeal to the residents of Gayawa, particularly those living along Badaru Road, to remain patient following the suspension of the project by the state government.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to facilitate the provision of infrastructure and other development projects for the people of Minjibir and Ungogo Local Government Areas.
